WATCH: Renee Young responds to fan criticism about her WWE announcing

“The Interview Queen” Alicia Atout’s exclusive interview with Renee Young has been posted online where Young talked about various topics including criticism from fans about her commentary.

Back in July, Young made headlines when she responded to a person on her official Twitter account who describe every WWE announcer except Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness as “shi**y.” This led to Young responding to the fan, which you can see here.

Young does commentary for WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw, and pay-per-view events.

“Prior to me filling in and taking over that role, I wasn’t groomed for that spot. I wasn’t at NXT doing it, I wasn’t in the booth doing it. So I am learning this entirely new skill on Raw. ‘Yeah, no pressure babe, go out there and crush it.’ There’s good days, there’s bad days, I’m always open to learning. I’m always open to criticisms.”

Young continued, “I think sometimes you have to be careful on like, how often you take those criticisms. Like, even if it’s good, even if I go backstage after Raw and you run into five, ten different people who want to have an opinion on it, you can’t take everybody’s opinions. You’ve gotta weed through that, and it’s just navigating those waters. It’s nice to just sort of be honest with myself and be honest with other people. I’m in a spot and trying to make the most of it.”
