John Cena has dropped the first trailer for his upcoming Netflix film Little Brother, which co-stars Eric Andre and is set to begin streaming on the platform on June 26, 2026.
Cena commented on the trailer on X. “Families come in all shapes, sizes, and even varying levels of ‘relation.’ I couldn’t be prouder to be part of this cast and crew family. They’ll make you laugh and cry, and @EricAndre will make you often do both. So excited for everyone to see #LittleBrother on @netflix June 26.”
The film is directed by Matt Spicer, who previously helmed the indie comedy Ingrid Goes West, and is written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, the writers behind The D-Train. Per Netflix’s official synopsis, the plot revolves around a famous real estate agent played by Cena whose carefully curated world is upended when his eccentric “little brother” played by André unexpectedly reappears in his life.
The film is part of Cena’s continued transition to a more focused Hollywood schedule following his in-ring retirement at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2025. Cena has been working as a WWE ambassador in his post-wrestling role, hosting WrestleMania 42 and announcing the John Cena Classic at Backlash. Outside of WWE, his acting career has been a primary focus, with Little Brother joining a slate that includes the recently completed Heads of State sequel, the Peacemaker spinoff series, and the upcoming WWE-branded acting projects under his Netflix and Paramount deals.
Cena previously revealed in his interview with The Takedown on SI that he is now operating on a single mission: to leave wrestling better than he found it, through brand partnerships, advocacy work, and acting visibility. The film begins streaming June 26 on Netflix.
