WWE has filed a new trademark for “The Glamour,” the long-running nickname of Blake Monroe, the latest sign that the company is locking in the brand infrastructure ahead of the former AEW Women’s World Champion’s official SmackDown debut.
Per a filing submitted on May 19 with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, WWE has applied for the rights to “The Glamour” across the standard wrestling-entertainment classifications. The application covers:
“IC 041: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
The trademark filing comes alongside PWInsider reporting that Monroe’s SmackDown debut is expected to happen by the end of May. Vignettes for her arrival on the blue brand have aired since April 24, but she has not made her physical debut on SmackDown TV yet. Monroe herself recently floated the possibility of debuting during the European Summer Tour stop in Spain.
Monroe was confirmed as a SmackDown call-up earlier this month. She spent years on the British independent circuit before moving to Japan for a run with World Wonder Ring Stardom, where she won the Goddesses of Stardom Championship alongside Mina Shirakawa. She signed with AEW in 2023, where she went on to win the AEW Women’s World Championship. She left AEW in May 2025 and signed with WWE in June 2025, debuting in NXT and winning the NXT Women’s North American Championship before dropping it to Tatum Paxley in a casket match ahead of her main roster call-up.
Mark Henry praised Monroe extensively after her call-up, saying she has no weakness in her game and can flip and fly, grapple, chain wrestle, punch and kick. He also called her an “old school throwback wrestler” in his initial main roster commentary, which Monroe herself acknowledged with appreciation when asked about it by Vicente Beltrán.
