WWE doesn’t seem to be worried about Jon Bravo’s steroid documentary anymore

WrestleMania 34 is coming up fast and now it looks like WWE is finally confident enough to really confirm their main event will happen.

Vince McMahon guaranteed on Raw this week that Brock Lesnar will defend his Universal Title against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania which is a pretty strong comment to make seeing how reports were WWE was holding out on confirming anything for Roman. There is a documentary rumored to be on the way which could cause WWE to suspend the Big Dog.

In all reality, Vince did temporarily suspend Roman on Raw this week anyway but that seemed to be purely storyline.

“So the deal is over the weekend, I guess around Friday-ish, I’m not really sure what day but it pretty much is a lock that they are 100% now Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar as the main event,” Dave Meltzer confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio. “So essentially they were holding back for any plans for Braun Strowman because he was gonna be the fill-in.”

When asked if Lesnar vs Reigns was going to close out WrestleMania this year Meltzer said he could see how it’s the favorite to close out the show but nothing is a lock. But it looks like this match is definitely happening now. It just makes me wonder if Jon Bravo’s documentary played a part in WWE being hesitant and holding Strowman as a plan B for Reigns, what made them change their minds on the subject all of a sudden?

Apparently, in WWE officials’ minds, Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar is 100% happening, “Whatever they were worrying about with Roman Reigns and Lesnar is fine, everything’s cool. You can read into that what you will we still haven’t seen that video [from Jon Bravo]. There are probably 2 or 3 explanations like I said the other night and I’m sure it’s one of them.”

So whatever is going on, WWE is cool with being very confident in placing such an emphasis on Brock vs Roman while their former back-up plan Braun Strowman can find something to actually do at Mania.
