We are live with ongoing WWE Monday Night Raw coverage.

Opening segment

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman kick off the show. Heyman touted that his client is still the reigning and defending Universal Champion. He said that he keeps telling everyone that he doesn’t make predictions but he delivers spoilers and he told us all in advance that there was a vast conspiracy against Brock Lesnar. Heyman said that his client was carted off on a stretcher for the first time while three “pretenders” to Brock’s throne could fight it out so they could attempt to sneak away as champion. He said that “This Beast” denied medical attention and walked back down the aisle and conquered. Heyman sure to point out that Lesnar pinned Roman Reigns and if there is a beating or a victimization or conquering to be done then it will be done by Lesnar. Braun Strowman’s music played and he came out to the ring.

Strowman nailed Brock with a boot and a running powerslam. Brock stumbled to get back up on his feet but Strowman hit him with another powerslam. Strowman then picked up the Universal title and held it up as his music played.

Brooklyn Street Fight – Big Cass vs. Enzo Amore

Before the match, Enzo cut a promo and talked about how he and Cass have been friends for 15 years. He said that tonight it ends. He brought out a shopping cart full of weapons. This is a No DQ match. They brought a steel chair into the ring but Cass dominated the match. Cass’ knee buckled and he is apparently legitimately injured. They had to mute the audio because he was yelling things that could not be said on TV. Due to the injury, the match was awarded to Enzo Amore. The injury happened as he was going for a big boot but Enzo moved and Cass fell over the top and landed awkwardly on his knee at ringside. Later, he went for the Empire Elbow but his knee buckled.

Backstage, Emma was shown backstage with Dana Brooke. Emma was furious about Sasha Banks winning the Raw Women’s title and she also ripped on Nia Jax. Unbeknownst to her, Jax was standing behind her. Jax vs. Emma is up next.

Quick match. Jax got the win with the Samoan drop.

Elias was shown walking backstage. He is up next.

Elias vs. R-Truth

Elias cut a promo on the Brooklyn crowd and sang a song. The song mocked R-Truth’s “What’s up” song so he was interrupted by Truth. Elias got the easy win with his Drift Away finisher.

Drew Gulak, Shawn Daivari, Tony Neese, and Noam Daar vs. Gran Metalik, Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander, and Rich Swann

Their entrances took place during the commercial break. The fans did the wave during this match. It definitely feels like a post-WrestleMania Raw. Alexander got the pin on Neese after hitting the Lumbar Check.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviewed Neville. Of course, Titus O’Neil and Akira Tozawa showed up. Tozawa wants a rematch on 205 Live.

Backstage, Kurt Angle told Jason Jordan that he is proud of him. Jordan wants to wrestle Finn Balor. Angle asked if he thinks he’s ready for that level of competition. Jordan said yes so Angle made the match.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in-ring promo

Rollins said that they are celebrating their big win from SummerSlam. Ambrose said that he is sure that Sheamus and Cesaro are going to want a rematch soon so they are up for taking on anyone and anywhere. The Hardy Boyz music played and they came out to the ring. Jeff Hardy said that they just came out to congratulate them. Matt said that sometimes brothers fight but when they fight together, it is a beautiful thing and they came out to challenge Ambrose and Rollins to a match. Rollins said “are you serious? We grew up idolizing you guys.” Matt said that for a quarter of a century, they’ve been revolutionizing the tag team division and they want to revolutionize it tonight in Brooklyn. Rollins accepted.

The Hardy Boyz vs. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins

Cesaro and Sheamus watched the match from the backstage area. This was a really good TV match and the fans were into it. Actually, they were into most of the stuff on this show. Jeff took a knee to the face from Rollins and then was hit with the Dirty Deeds by Ambrose and that allowed him to get the pin and the win. Sheamus and Cesaro looked on from backstage.

It was officially announced that Lesnar will defend the Universal title against Strowman at No Mercy. Click here for more.

Commercial break.

Sasha Banks in-ring promo

The fans booed her. She talked about Brooklyn being her second home because of the moments she’s had there for the last 3 years, including one with Charlotte Flair. She wished Ric Flair well and said that the world needs him. Then she turned her attention to Alexa Bliss. Bliss came out to the stage area. Bliss said that Sasha is a 4-time Raw Women’s Champion but loses it every time she defends it. Banks said that Bliss ran away or tapped out every time she wrestled her. Banks suggested for Bliss to use her automatic rematch clause right now. Bliss said no because the “Brooklyn fanboys” don’t deserve it but next week is a different story and that is when she wants her rematch. She said that Banks will be known as the legit loser.

Jason Jordan came out to the ring for his match against Finn Balor. They made some changes to his theme music.

Commercial break.

Jason Jordan vs. Finn Balor

Pretty good back and forth match but Balor got the win after hitting the double stomp off the top rope. It looks like they are building towards a heel turn for Jordan.

Commercial break.

John Cena and Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe and The Miz

The crowd took over this match by doing the wave. Cena played into it by asking them to continue. Late in the match, The Miztourage tried to interfere but Reigns took them out with Superman punches. Joe locked in the Coquina clutch and Reigns went for the Superman punch but ended up hitting Cena. Joe attempted the dive through the ropes but was hit by Reigns’ Superman punch so that left Miz alone with Cena. Miz went for his finisher but Cena turned it around and hit the AA and got the pin.

Cena and Reigns stood side by side but Cena seemed a little bothered from Reigns’ punch from earlier. Reigns said, “that’s my bad.” That’s the end of the show. Clearly, they are building a future Cena vs. Reigns match. It’s not clear if they want to do that match next month or if this is a slow build for WrestleMania.
