WWE Night Of Champions Results: John Cena Retains WWE Title In Chaotic Main Event

Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena vs. CM Punk took place at the WWE Night of Champions Premium Live Event from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 

The crowd was going nuts to start things off. Punk was playing mind games with Cena to start things off. They had a slow mat-based match with Punk working over the left arm of Cena. Cena with a head takeover and fired off some punches. Cena with the shoulder blocks, side walk slam and then five knuckle shuffle and went for the AA, but Punk blocked and caught him with the heel kick. Punk with the running knee and a clothesline. Punk with an elbow drop off the top rope. Cena blocked the GTS and put him in the STF. Cena with the AA for 2. Punk avoided an AA and hit a DDT. Punk with the STF, but Cena got to the bottom rope. Cena blocked a bulldog and hit a side slam then went for the five knuckle shuffle, but Punk kicked him in the face. Cena with the AA to Punk for 2. Punk went for a crossbody, but Cena caught him and hit the AA for 2. Cena grabbed the title before tossing it down and Punk caught him with the GTS for 2. Cena accidentally hit the referee with a shoulder tackle and Punk hit Cena with the GTS. Seth Rollins comes out with Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman. Bron and Reed went after Punk. They put Punk through the table. Seth motioned for another referee to come out and it was Charles Robinson. Cena took him out. Cena hit the AA to Seth before Reed and Bron took him out. Penta brawled with Bron before Bron laid him out. Sami Zayn came out to make the save. Reed laid out Cena before going for a splash, but Punk knocked him off the top rope. Cena with an AA to Reed. Cena went for a low blow, but Punk avoided it. Seth hit Punk with MITB and the stomp leading to Cena pinning Punk. 

Winner: Cena
