WWE Raw Results: Roman Reigns And Jacob Fatu Sign Contract For WWE Backlash

WWE Raw aired live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on Monday, May 4, 2026, on Netflix. The show was the go-home episode for WWE Backlash, which takes place this Saturday at Amalie Arena in Tampa.

Opening Backstage / Bron Breakker Attacks Seth Rollins

Michael Cole and Corey Graves opened the show before the broadcast cut backstage to Adam Pearce attempting to calm Roman Reigns down. Reigns went to head to the ring, but Pearce stopped him and told him that Jacob Fatu had not arrived at the venue yet. Seth Rollins crossed paths with Reigns at gorilla, told him “You’re in my way,” and headed out for his entrance.

As Rollins reached the bottom of the entrance ramp, Bron Breakker attacked him from behind. Breakker lifted Rollins overhead and sent him crashing into the barricade with a Gorilla Press. Pearce came out with security to hold Breakker back, but Breakker fought through them, sent Rollins shoulder-first into the ring steps, and rolled him into the ring. Officials checked on Rollins and escorted Breakker to the back.

Judgment Day Backstage

In the Judgment Day clubhouse, Liv Morgan questioned Roxanne Perez about Finn Bálor’s appearance the previous week. Morgan asked Perez why Bálor was talking to her and why she had to find out about it on the Netflix stream. Perez said she made it clear she wanted nothing to do with Bálor and pledged her loyalty to Morgan. Morgan said she believed in Perez and made her promise no more secrets from the rest of Judgment Day.

Match: JD McDonagh def. Finn Bálor

Bálor opened the match with a chop in the corner and a near-fall, then caught McDonagh with a shotgun dropkick and clotheslined him out of the ring. As Bálor ran the ropes, Dominik Mysterio grabbed his ankle from outside while the referee’s back was turned. McDonagh capitalized to send Bálor crashing out of the ring as Roxanne Perez walked out to ringside.

The referee began a ten count during the commercial break, but Bálor beat it back into the ring. McDonagh was waiting with a double axe handle off the middle rope and wore Bálor down with a submission hold while Perez watched from the opposite side. Dominik took a cheap shot from outside, and Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez made their way out to keep an eye on Perez.

Bálor leveled McDonagh with a Sling Blade and an enzuigiri from the apron before climbing to the top rope. Dominik tripped Bálor as Rodriguez distracted the referee, but the referee then ejected Dominik from ringside. McDonagh went for a moonsault off the top, but Bálor caught him with another Sling Blade.

Morgan hopped up on the apron and threw Perez the ring bell hammer that Dominik had taken from the timekeeper’s area. Perez nailed Bálor with the hammer behind the referee’s back, and McDonagh followed with a headbutt for the win.

Backstage: Seth Rollins With Jackie Redmond

Jackie Redmond caught up with Rollins backstage and asked if he was still good to compete against Bron Breakker at Backlash. “I’m not dead yet,” Rollins told her.

Match: Ethan Page and Rusev def. Penta and Je’Von Evans

Rusev opened against Evans, firing off shoulders in the corner. Evans answered with a kick before Rusev leveled him and tagged in Page. Page hit a right hand on Evans as Rusev held him in place, but Evans came back with chops and took out Rusev. Penta tagged himself in and dropkicked Page into the corner with Evans’ help, then hit a modified Bronco Buster and a double superkick to Rusev with Evans. Evans hit a hurricanrana on Rusev and a crossbody over the top rope as Penta delivered the Penta Driver to him in the ring.

Rusev tagged back in during the commercial break. Page held Penta in place for a Rusev boot and the heels worked Penta over in the corner. Evans came up to make the tag, but Rusev pulled him off the apron. Penta finally tagged Evans, who caught Page with a kick, hit a Stunner and a suplex, then dove over the top rope to take out Rusev.

Evans climbed to the top rope, but Page pushed him off. Penta sent Page out of the ring with a thrust kick, but Page tripped Penta from the ring skirt and distracted the referee for Rusev to chokeslam Penta. Page followed with a vertical suplex on Penta for the win.

Sol Ruca Contract Signing

Adam Pearce introduced Sol Ruca with a video package highlighting moments from her career. Pearce congratulated her and handed her the contract, but before she could sign, Becky Lynch’s music hit. Lynch claimed she had been told this was supposed to be her time and accused Pearce of having “illegally sanctioned” her Women’s Intercontinental Championship match against IYO SKY against the parameters she set in her open challenge.

Ruca cut Lynch off, asking if she was done. Lynch said she wasn’t. Ruca said not everything was about Lynch. Lynch responded that Ruca had to learn that everything was about her.

“This isn’t about me, Becky,” Ruca said. “I know everything about your career, but I didn’t expect to find out that you’re exactly what everyone says you are when I met you, a rude, big headed bitch.”

Ruca said it was not just her saying that, but the New York Times and Sports Illustrated. Lynch asked Pearce and the Omaha crowd if they were really going to let Ruca talk to her like that and mockingly asked Ruca who she was. Ruca told Lynch that if she ever interrupted her again, she would snatch her soul.

Ruca handed Pearce the signed contract. An angry Lynch threw a punch and accidentally connected with Pearce. Lynch swore it was an accident as Pearce yelled at her, and Ruca cut Lynch off with a Sol Snatcher.

Joe Hendry Segment / Logan Paul

Joe Hendry made his way to the ring and sang a song calling for Logan Paul to be fired. Austin Theory and Logan Paul came out, with Paul saying he could not be fired because he was the “heart and soul of WWE.” Hendry continued the song and asked the crowd whether Paul could be fired. Theory slid into the ring.

Hendry clotheslined Theory out of the ring at the bell and followed with a vertical suplex back inside. An angry Logan Paul attacked Hendry from behind and rained down right hands, drawing the disqualification.

Post-Match Brawl

Theory and Paul fired off stomps on Hendry until The Street Profits ran out and laid into the heels with right hands. Bron Breakker came out and sent Montez Ford over the top rope, then hit Angelo Dawkins with a spear and a German suplex.

Seth Rollins ran out, pulled Breakker out of the ring, sent him into the ring steps, stomped him, dumped him into the ring, hit a series of right hands, and dropped him with a clothesline.

A pre-taped face-to-face aired ahead of their Backlash match. Asuka told IYO SKY she was going to cut her out of her life on Saturday. SKY responded by saying she was ready for Asuka. Asuka spat blue mist into SKY’s eyes. Pearce ran in and called for medical officials to check on SKY.

Match: OG El Grande Americano, Julio and Bruno def. Los Americanos

OG El Grande Americano teamed with Julio and Bruno (the latter two resembling Julius Creed and Brutus Creed) against Los Americanos, comprised of El Grande Americano, Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano. The faces sent all three opponents out of the ring at the bell.

Julio and Rayo started, with Rayo catching Julio with a boot before Julio answered with a suplex. OG Grande and El Grande Americano tagged in. Coming back from a break, OG Grande worked over El Grande Americano with right hands and a Russian Leg Sweep, then leveled Rayo with a clothesline outside and climbed to the top rope. Rayo pushed off OG Grande while the referee was distracted.

Julio hit a superplex on Rayo. Bruno followed with a moonsault. El Grande Americano took out Bruno with a shoulder pounce, but Bravo hit a Frog Splash on El Grande Americano. He kicked out, then hit a diving headbutt on Bravo for the win.

Main Event: Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu Contract Signing

Adam Pearce introduced both men to the ring.

Reigns told Omaha to acknowledge him, then told Fatu he had been watching him grind on the independent scene for 12 years while he himself had been in WWE for over 12 years. Reigns said he brought Solo Sikoa into WWE and that, by extension, he had brought Fatu into WWE because Fatu had aligned with Sikoa from the start. He told Fatu that one should not use the Tongan Death Grip on their family.

Fatu responded that all gas and no brakes doesn’t mean slowing down, and that he would do anything for his household.

Reigns signed the contract. He told Fatu that while Fatu was talking about his household, he himself had been grinding for multiple households across a decade, putting food on the tables of many kids and taking care of their education. He told Fatu that the ring was his, and that while they were family, Fatu was beneath him in the ring.

Fatu charged. The two men brawled. Fatu locked in the Tongan Death Grip. Pearce tried to pry him off. Officials ran out to assist Pearce in separating the two as the show went off the air.
