WWE Star Says He Was “Inches Away From A Michael Jackson Incident” After Pyro Went Off Behind His Head

Kit Wilson says he was “inches away from a Michael Jackson incident” when Danhausen’s pyro went off directly behind his head on a recent episode of SmackDown.

Speaking with The Masked Man Show on Ringer Wrestling during WrestleMania 42 media row, Wilson said his hair was full of hairspray at the time, which could have turned the situation into something far worse.

“My hair has so much hairspray when I’m out there. I was inches away from a Michael Jackson incident. It would have just been a giant fireball.”

Wilson was referring to the infamous 1984 Pepsi commercial shoot where Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire from pyrotechnics. The host joked that the fireball could have been the kickstart Wilson’s career needed, comparing it to Becky Lynch’s accidental hardway blood moment that helped launch her into a main event run.

“I would have looked like Kane,” Wilson said. “That might have been a problem.”

The host described the pyro going off behind Wilson’s head as requiring “nerves of steel” and compared it to a near-miss disaster. Wilson was not laughing it off.

“Uncomfortable. Yeah, my hair has so much hairspray when I’m out there. I was inches away from a Michael Jackson incident.”

Wilson said Danhausen has been a constant source of problems since debuting in WWE and that he plans to avoid him for the entirety of WrestleMania weekend.

“This man debuted the company, everyone was loving him. I was enjoying him. But something I have learned recently is I need to avoid this man with everything that’s inside of me. Very powerful. He’s ruined my last three SmackDowns. I think he’s ruining my life. So yeah, I’m avoiding him the whole weekend. I never want to see that man again.”

Despite wanting nothing to do with Danhausen, Wilson revealed that he and The Miz have something in the works for tonight’s SmackDown involving Danhausen, though he would not share details.

“Me and the Miz got something in the works. It’s all a surprise. You’ll have to see.”

Wilson was also asked who he would pick from the locker room to be his attorney if he were arrested, and he chose The Miz without hesitation.

“One, he’s a smart man. He’s an educated man. He’s been around the block. I think he might know a thing or two. Two, he’s got some money. That might help out.”

The host agreed with the pick, adding that if someone told him The Miz had a law degree, he would believe it.
