WWE Unreal has a return date.
Netflix announced that the third season of the behind-the-scenes docuseries will premiere on July 21. Alongside the date, the streamer shared a season description that reads, “John Cena says goodbye, a fan favorite returns, and the next generation of WWE Superstars rise to the occasion.”
The new season is set to center on the final chapter of John Cena’s career. Unreal season two ended at SummerSlam 2025, the night Cena dropped the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes. The second half of 2025 saw Cena return to his babyface roots and work the closing matches of his run, capped by his retirement match against Gunther in December.
Unreal offers an inside look at WWE, pulling back the curtain on the writers’ room, creative decisions, and the personal lives of its Superstars. The series is produced by WWE in partnership with Omaha Productions, NFL Films, and Skydance Sports, with each season running five episodes.
All episodes from the first two seasons are currently streaming on Netflix.
