According to a report from WKYTV-TV in Kentucky, WWE is pushing to have the city of Corbin, Kentucky named after WWE Superstar King Baron Corbin.
WWE’s idea is to have the city renamed King Corbin, Kentucky. The story from WKYT says WWE is doing this as part of a grassroots campaign to promote live events, starting with Sunday’s live event at the Corbin Arena in the Kentucky city.
WWE personnel will be handing out free tickets to Sunday’s show at the Corbin Arena and tickets that were purchased for the May and October 2019 events will be honored on Sunday.
Just over a year ago, Vince McMahon told investors that the company has plans to reimagine the marketing for their live events to improve attendance. This appears to be one of their ideas.
