There were people backstage that were not happy with the way the crowd reacted to Bayley when she discussed her injury during an in-ring interview on this week’s Monday Night Raw. In the video below, you will notice that they cut out the part of her interview where she addressed the boos from the fans as she was clearly frustrated at their reaction. There was a “bizarro world” reference from Corey Graves but it was cut out in the edited clip on YouTube. The “bizarro world” comment is something that’s said by announcers whenever a crowd doesn’t give the desired reaction and it’s something that Vince McMahon has been telling announcers to say for over a decade.
The “bizarro world” and “bizarro land” references have typically been used when they’re in places like Toronto, Montreal, London, Chicago and cities where there is a post-Mania episode of Raw. The first time I can remember it used was during SummerSlam 2004 when the crowd turned on hometown Intercontinental Champion Edge (a babyface at the time) during his match with Chris Jericho (he was a heel at the time).
Anyway, as you can see in the video below, they were able to edit out most of the boos during Bayley’s interview and you’ll notice the edit at about the 1:12 mark.
