Monday Night Raw has a number of storylines going on right now and the tale of Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan is one of them. This long-lost father/son team might have spent a lot of time apart because Jordan was under the impression he wasn’t adopted until after college. But now that Kurt Angle announced the former American Alpha member was his son, the two seem to be getting closer than ever.
They might be on their way in becoming a heel team on Monday nights, but these two are currently all smiles. They keep saying how JJ being Angle’s son won’t affect him in any way in getting preferential treatment. While that seems like it’s not happening right now, who knows how this story will pan out.
We’ve certainly never heard a crowd chant “let’s go jobber” before and that’s what happened last week when Angle put his baby-boy against a local enhancement talent when Curtis Axel was all “F5’ed out.”
The father/son duo was certainly happy to be making the media rounds in Boston and they snapped a great selfie in the process. As we’re headed toward The Biggest Party Of The Summer this story doesn’t seem to be gaining much fan favor. Dave Meltzer speculated in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Angle might announce this whole story was a front in order to throw people off the scent of his real secret, whatever that might be. But who knows?
Only time will tell how this one turns out, but for the time being, they seem to be putting on a happy front for the media. It’s true.
