The latest Wrestling Observer newsletter has a note on The New Day that may explain why their last title reign was so short. There was an idea pitched to make them the greatest tag team of all-time. The idea is to achieve that is to have them win the titles more than anyone in history so they would have the record for longest title reign and they would eventually beat The Dudley Boyz nine title reigns.
They are 2-time Raw Tag Team Champions and 1-time Smackdown Tag Team Champions so they have a long way to go.
In other news, WWE has posted highlights from Bobby Roode’s debut. The video has 1.4 million views and it’s one of the most-viewed videos of the week. In fact, it’s only second behind the video of the confrontation between John Cena and Roman Reigns from Monday Night Raw. Check it out below:
