It’s that time of the year when rumors start to pop up regarding potential inductees into the WWE Hall Of Fame. It’s usually around this time when ideas are batted around within WWE.
The big name being talked about for the 2018 class is Dave Bautista. This tidbit was first reported in the Wrestling Observer newsletter. Obviously, everything depends on Bautista’s schedule and it might take some effort on WWE’s part if they want him to be part of WrestleMania weekend.
Bautista has talked about doing one more program with Triple H but WWE was not interested in it. A few months ago, Bautista said this on Chris Jericho’s podcast: “What I don’t miss is the company, to be honest with you. I don’t miss WWE. I miss wrestling. I just don’t miss dealing with the company and it’s bullsh**t. It’s just too much bullsh**t.” He said, “Well, there’s … I’ve asked for what I want. I’ll tell you and I’ve talked to Hunter about it and I’ve talked to Vince about it. I said I would come back and run a whole program with Hunter. That’s the only thing I’m interested in doing. They’re just not interested in it, you know?”
If they want him to headline the 2018 HOF then perhaps they could work something out and finally pull the trigger on the match with Triple H. His latest film, titled “Bushwick,” hit select theaters and on video-on-demand platforms this week.
