Mark Henry spend over 20 years inducting people into the Hall Of Pain with WWE but it looks like his role with the company has changed. He might not be competing anymore but that doesn’t mean he’s not busy. After all, a guy like the World’s Strongest Man is always up to something.
Mark Henry recently spoke with 6 ABC Action News where he had a chance to explained his current role with WWE.
“For the most part, my whole deal right now is trying to bring more awareness to the WWE, it’s charities, [and] its programs. Travel the world and introduce our business to people that don’t have the WWE. Our developmental franchise, NXT, I scout. There’s guys in the company now: Braun Strowman, Baron Corbin, [and] Apollo Crews that I’ve helped cultivate, ya know and say, ‘Hey, that guy can do something. Bring him in.’”
His in-ring career might be behind him at this point, but he did plenty in the squared circle he can be proud of. It would be nice to see Henry come back to television if they can figure out a role for him. But in the meantime, it sounds like he’s more than happy doing what he can for WWE.
WWE might be looking to hire another World’s Strongest Man, but they will never be able to duplicate Mark Henry because he’s certainly one of a kind.
