Jimmy Fallon had nothing to do with ‘Raw 25’ script rewrites

Last week there was a report by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated that claimed that the Raw 25th anniversary show had to be rewritten because Jimmy Fallon was late to the show. The report by Barrasso claimed that the show was rewritten three hours before they went on the air after the creative teamed learned that Fallon could not make it to Raw early enough. We held off on reporting anything until we could get confirmation from WWE.

Raj Giri of WrestlingInc.com got word from his sources that Fallon had nothing to do with the changes to the show. A WWE source confirmed the same thing to us. Also, Fallon’s “Tonight Show” taping goes from 5 pm to 6:15 pm so everyone involved would have been aware of that even if there were plans to use Fallon on Raw. The WWE source tells us that there were never any plans to include Fallon on the show.

There were changes to the script but that had more to do with Enzo Amore and, like most weeks, it is not uncommon for rewrites because Vince McMahon changes his mind so frequently.
