The ‘WWE 24’ documentary that aired on the WWE Network this week was fascinating for a couple of reasons. We got to see the behind-the-scenes work involved to keep The Hardys return a secret. We also got to see rare footage of The Undertaker talking out of character. It’s not something he does too often because he likes to protect the character and it’s also the reason why you don’t see him in the crowd at the Hall Of Fame ceremony.
Perhaps the fact that he knows that his career is winding down is allowing him to open up. In the documentary, you can clearly see that he is banged up as he was limping backstage before his match with Roman Reigns.
However, there was one scene that was left on the cutting room floor. As first reported by WWE Network News, there was a scene showing Taker being treated by the WWE doctor and he is getting pain relief injections. While he’s getting the injections, he talks about the things he does in order to give the fans the best performance possible.
For some reason, a decision was made not to include the scene on the documentary but you can see a screenshot below. He doesn’t outright say that he is retired but the documentary gives you the impression that his wrestling days are over.
That might not be the case and, unless he decides to pull out, The Undertaker is part of the plans for WrestleMania. Click here for the tentative WrestleMania card.
