Reason why WWE made their recent NXT Superstar cuts

It’s always unfortunate when WWE has to release talent for whatever reason and three people were let go this week that never got a fair shot to really show what they could do.

We previously reported that Abbey Laith, Sage Beckett, and Gu Guangming were released from WWE’s NXT brand and although it’s hard to hear it turns out WWE had a reason for making the tough cuts.

“3 names, hopefully no more but I mean whenever things like this happen people in NXT start getting worried,” Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Live. “I can tell you that the Performance Center is nearing its capacity. So either they’re gonna have to cut some people or eventually look for a larger Performance Center and after all the money they spent looking into the Performance Center they’ve got, I’m not sure how eager they’re gonna be to look for a larger one.”

Things like this happen as talent comes and goes. As with any job, there’s bound to be a percentage of turnover in its employees. It’s just that right now WWE’s Superstar factory in Orlando is quite full and there’s not much room left at this point.
