Nigel McGuinness is back in WWE.
On Thursday, Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT and Stephanie Chase of Digital Spy reported that he’ll be doing commentary for the NXT UK brand where he’ll work alongside Andy Shepherd again. It should be noted that he will be doing commentary from his home in America.
This comes after it was reported by PWinsider.com on Wednesday that McGuinness would be returning to the company although, at the time, there was no word yet on which brand he would be working on.
NXT UK recently held a set of TV tapings at the BT Sport studios, which was open to the media.
Confirmed: Nigel McGuinness will be on commentary when @NXTUK returns alongside @andyshep. Nigel will be working remotely from the US #NXTUK

Andy Shepherd will commentate for NXT UK at these tapings from a booth above the studios and Nigel McGuinness will be alongside him – from America!
Glad to see Nigel back and BT Sport have put a lot of effort in to make sure it works.

McGuinness was furloughed by WWE back in April as part of the cutbacks due to the COVID pandemic.
McGuinness signed with the WWE in late 2016 where he worked his first WWE shows during the United Kingdom Championship tournament in early 2017. He also worked as a commentator for 205 Live and Main Event in addition to NXT UK.
The NXT UK brand is expected to start airing new content on September 17th. In fact, it’s been reported that the company has already taped content.
