Dave Meltzer confirmed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the big surprise for All Out, Bryan Danielson, is locked in for Sunday night.
Bodyslam.net reported that Danielson was originally scheduled for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in New York City but plans changed to have him debut in Chicago. Barring a last minute change, Danielson will be on the show on Sunday.
Danielson has been a free agent since April and has not wrestled since WrestleMania where he was in the main event with Roman Reigns and Edge. While AEW has not confirmed that he is debuting soon, CM Punk has been dropping hints in interviews and on social media.
Punk said on WFAN this week that if he were to come back to wrestle one guy then Danielson would be that guy. Punk and Danielson have a similar history that dates back to Ring Of Honor.
There are other surprises that are possible for the pay-per-view such as Adam Cole, Ric Flair, and Ruby Soho. It appears that Soho may debut this Sunday during the Casino Battle Royale. Cole, if he is signed, could be held off for a later date.
Flair is possible for the show since he has stated that he would be backstage. Flair said that he would be there to watch Andrade El Idolo wrestle. Andrade’s match with PAC has been postponed so we don’t know what the plans are for Andrade right now on the show.
