Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura was revealed as the mystery opponent for Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. The opponent was picked by Tony D’Angelo.
Nakamura disappeared from WWE SmackDown and hasn’t appeared on the show since August. This past week, he was in Japan to attend the funeral of the late Antonio Inoki.
Nakamura won the match agasint Lorenzo. His appearance is part of WWE’s effort to bolster the star power on tonight’s show up against AEW Dynamite and likely to give Nakamura some in-ring time since both Raw and SmackDown are so loaded with talent and Triple H seems to be rotating people in and out of storylines.
For those of you wondering, Nakamura won the match with the Kinshasa.
