AEW Dynamite Preview: MJF Vs. Mark Briscoe, Forbidden Door Fallout

AEW Dynamite airs live tonight from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California. The show airs on TBS in the United States at 8 p.m. ET and is available internationally on MyAEW.com.

Two championship-focused matches headline the confirmed lineup: a Survival of the Fittest match to crown a new AEW TBS Champion, and an AEW World Championship defense.

In the Survival of the Fittest match, Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, Maika, Queen Aminata, Persephone, and Harley Cameron will battle to become the new AEW TBS Champion. The title was left vacant after Willow Nightingale relinquished it due to injury, a decision she announced on the May 20 episode of Dynamite. The same injury also forced Nightingale to withdraw from the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

In the main event, AEW World Champion MJF puts his title on the line against Mark Briscoe. Briscoe earned the opportunity at AEW Forbidden Door, where his six-man team defeated MJF’s squad in a Steel Cage match.

Here is the confirmed lineup for tonight’s AEW Dynamite:

– AEW TBS Title Survival of the Fittest Match: Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander vs. Maika vs. Queen Aminata vs. Persephone vs. Harley Cameron
– AEW World Title Match: MJF (c) vs. Mark Briscoe
