Ilja Dragunov wrestles his first AEW match tonight against “Speedball” Mike Bailey on Dynamite at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida.
Tony Khan announced the match on X on Tuesday. It is the first show since WrestleDream, where Dragunov was introduced as AEW’s newest signing.

Bailey was the third entrant in the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream and was eliminated by Konosuke Takeshita. Dragunov has not wrestled since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 17 SmackDown. His WWE contract expired in August, and he said this week that WWE wanted to re-sign him.
AEW World Champion Will Ospreay teams with Adam Copeland against Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. Ospreay retained the title in Clockwork Carnage by pinning Copeland with three seconds left, and Copeland told him afterward that he is coming for the championship. Copeland announced on last week’s Dynamite that he will retire in 2027. Fletcher and Knight lost to the Young Bucks at WrestleDream after more miscommunication between them.
