AEW’s Tony Khan confirms there are legit issues between CM Punk and Hangman Page

Tony Khan has given his first public comments about the situation between CM Punk and Hangman Adam Page.

As previously reported, Punk’s comments about Page were a shoot on last week’s AEW Dynamite. In his promo, he challenged Page to a title bout right then before stating Page not coming out was cowardly instead of doing “cowboy sh**.” Punk said the apology should be larger than the “disrespect” before doing a promo about Jon Moxley, setting up their championship match next week.

Page wasn’t supposed to be part of the opening segment and he went off script. Punk reportedly had a meeting with Khan at the show.

Punk’s comments go back to Page’s promo before their Double Or Nothing title bout in May.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio today, the AEW President said the World Champion has some “unresolved anger” toward the former champion.

“It’s unresolved anger, I think, from the World title match at Double or Nothing. We haven’t really tied up all those issues,” Khan said, “There was clearly some stuff that didn’t get resolved at Double or Nothing.”
