The following contains spoilers for the July 2 episode of AEW Collision.
Kyle Fletcher gave AEW fans a scare at a recent taping, but the good news is that he appears to be okay. During the taping for this Thursday’s July 2 episode of AEW Collision, held at the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California, the former TNT Champion squared off against ELP. Following the match, several fans reported that Fletcher may have suffered an injury during the bout.
Bryan Alvarez has since provided an encouraging update on Fletcher’s status. While multiple fans believed Fletcher had been hurt during the match, Alvarez reported that he has been told the star “appears to be fine,” and that the scare was likely nothing more than dehydration.
The situation comes at a busy time for Fletcher, who only recently returned from an injury at AEW Double or Nothing. He also took part in the Steel Cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Looking ahead, Fletcher is scheduled to challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship on next Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.
