Kurt Angle gave his thoughts on various topics on the latest episode of his Kurt Angle Show, including the WWE return of CM Punk.
The journey
WWE capitalized on CM Punk’s return to the company at the Survivor Series a week ago after the Men’s War Games Match. Following that event, Punk cut his first promo back on Raw this past Monday night, drawing big ratings. Social media engagement is off the charts for anything Punk is featured in, and his merchandise is a hot seller.
He’s expected to feud with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The former WWE Champion is internally listed as a free agent, meaning he can appear on Raw or SmackDown, which is why he’s appearing on next week’s SmackDown.

“It’s great news,” Angle stated. “I’m really surprised he’s back. I will say this: if he keeps his nose clean and doesn’t ruffle any feathers, he’s gonna have a great time there. He’s gonna really be huge for the company, but we know that CM Punk can sometimes get himself in trouble. Hopefully, he won’t.”
Angle thinks Punk will do well for WWE, and “that’s a big deal for the company right now to have him back.”
