Brock Lesnar was inducted into the University of Minnesota M Club Hall of Fame on Friday at a ceremony at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Lesnar is one of 10 former Golden Gophers athletes in the 2026 class, which the university announced in July. The class also includes Guillermo Alvarez (men’s gymnastics), Luke Appert (baseball), Daniel Croaston (men’s swimming and diving), Lauren Gibbemeyer-Mendes (volleyball), Jody Horak (women’s hockey), Sean Lumpkin (football), Larry Olimb (men’s hockey), Sarah (Wilhite) Parsons (volleyball) and Lezlie Weiss (softball). The inductees are also being recognized at Saturday’s home football game against Michigan.

Lesnar wrestled for Minnesota from 1998 to 2000, going 55-3 with 23 pins. He finished as the NCAA heavyweight runner-up in 1999 and won the NCAA heavyweight championship in 2000.
He debuted on WWE’s main roster in 2002, played in the preseason for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings in 2004, and won the UFC Heavyweight Championship in 2008 before returning to WWE in 2012.
The induction comes two months after Lesnar confirmed his retirement from professional wrestling on the Pat McAfee Show. His final match was a loss to Oba Femi inside Hell in a Cell in the main event of SummerSlam night one on August 1 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
