Diamond Dallas Page wants to see Cody Rhodes turn heel.

The WWE Hall of Famer said in an interview with TMZ released Friday that he would have liked Rhodes to make the switch at his peak.

“I’d love to see him turn heel. I would have liked to see him turn at the peak and take that next run,” Page said.

Page pointed to Rhodes’ habit of staying after shows to sign for fans, going back to his time in AEW.

“He was really that guy. He stayed after. The first time I ever saw him do it was in AEW, after the show. That place sold out in 33 minutes with 11,000 people. The energy was incredible, and afterwards he brought everybody out. He didn’t want to talk for an hour, but he signed everything,” Page said. “Cody kept doing that the whole time. He would sign everything, but it wasn’t sustainable, and after a while fans turned.”

Rhodes beat Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday.

DDP Yoga At The WWE Performance Center

Page said he has talked to Triple H about bringing DDP Yoga to the WWE Performance Center.

“I talk to Triple H, Nick and Chris, and I said, here’s what I want. Here’s what I’d like to do,” Page said. “I want to go down and do it three times a year because it will help the guys who really want to put the work in. DDP Yoga, more than anything, is injury prevention.”

How Scott Hall Became Razor Ramon

Page also told the story of reinventing Scott Hall in 1991.

“Scott called me up and said, Dally, I need your help. I can’t get to New York. Nobody will call me back,” Page said.

“I said, what if I could change the way you look? Back then, in 1991, no one had jet black hair except the Honky Tonk Man. I said, I think you should dye your hair jet black like Elvis, blue black, and we’ll put you in different clothes,” Page continued. “I saw George Michael come out on MTV with this five o’clock shadow, and I thought that would be a great look for Scott. I called him at two in the morning and told him he had to shave the walrus mustache.”

“When he walked into that arena with the long trench coat, round black sunglasses, his hair pulled back in a ponytail, no mustache and just the five o’clock shadow, nobody recognized him,” Page said.

Why WCW Collapsed

Page said the company that owned WCW never wanted it.

“You realize that the actual company, meaning Turner, not so much Turner as Warner Bros., hated wrestling. Hated it,” Page said. “They were paying so much money to have WCW, and it was finally turning ratings occasionally, but they hated being associated with it.”

Mayo Clinic Meeting

Page said he has been accepted to his first meeting with the Mayo Clinic about trials for regrowing cartilage.

“The doctor there has a whole team of doctors who are doing the research, and they think they’ve got enough to start testing and doing trials for growing back cartilage on your joints,” Page said. “Make me the rat right now. I’ll use my body, because if that works, that’s miracle stuff.”

Page also said he and Paige are preparing for their first Page’s Retreat in Panama City Beach, Florida, at the end of February.
