Cody Rhodes: Dominik Mysterio Is ‘The One Guy At Work I Don’t Feel Cool Around’

Cody Rhodes has found the one person in the WWE locker room who makes him feel uncool: Dominik Mysterio.

Speaking on the latest episode of What Do You Wanna Talk About, Rhodes opened up about Dirty Dom’s effortless charisma and offered a funny anecdote that illustrates just how naturally the cool factor comes to the younger Mysterio.

“Dom is like the one guy at work that I feel not cool around. I’ll have a new watch or something and I’ll be like, ‘Hey Dom,’ and he’s got a giant sky dweller on, which is a very nice fancy watch. He just oozes charisma,” Rhodes said.

Beyond the jokes, Rhodes also had genuine praise for how Dominik has developed as a performer, drawing a parallel to his own unconventional path through the wrestling business.

“I also love the fact that Dom is training backwards. He knows psychology, he knows how to engage with fans, a live crowd. But the fundamentals have come after all of that, which is a little bit of how I was trained,” Rhodes said.

Mysterio lost to Finn Balor in a Street Fight at WrestleMania 42 night two while the first night saw Rhodes retain the WWE Title over Randy Orton.
