Whatever was planned or talked about for SummerSlam has apparently fallen through. Cris Cyborg said on Twitter that she will not be stepping in the ring with Becky Lynch at SummerSlam and seemed to hint that Ronda Rousey had something to do with it. It’s not clear if there were plans for a match or if they wanted to start an angle at the show or if any of her claims are true but, as I noted a couple of weeks ago, people in Cyborg’s camp told us that they did agree to do something at SummerSlam. I have no ideas what those plans were. If she is indeed being honest, then perhaps plans were changed because WWE has a major angle lined up. We won’t spoil it here but click here if you want to know more.
Here is Cyborg’s tweet:
Disappointed @BeckyLynchWWE isn't stepping into the ring with me #summerslam I heard a 4 horse woman doesn't want me in the @wwe ring b4 her
