Jeff Jarrett comments on WWE Hall Of Fame induction

The news is official and although we heard rumors of it before that doesn’t make it any less surprising. Jeff Jarrett will be joining the WWE Hall Of Fame as part of the Class Of 2018. The ceremony will be headlined by Goldberg and also include The Dudley Boyz and Ivory. Now that Jeff Jarrett’s name is included on the list as well, it is shaping up to be one of the biggest WWE Hall Of Fame classes ever.

But Jarret realizes all it took to get to this point as he spoke about the road which led him back to WWE. After all, it included a couple detours along the way as well.

“I would have never dreamed that in 2018 I’d be going into the Hall Of Fame,” Jeff Jarrett said to NBC Sports. “But as I’ve sat back and looked I said, ‘Welp, I guess there are some things that are just meant to be.'”

Jarrett also spoke briefly about what kept him from rejoining WWE once WCW was no longer an option after Vince McMahon bought the company.

“It’s a business and I knew that I was going to be getting paid on my Turner contract for about another eight or nine months, so I didn’t even think to address it that night […] I’ve never been a guy to look in the rearview mirror and talk about what-ifs, I’ve always been a guy who looks forward.”

Double J then went on to discuss some of his in-ring ability and how is peaked in many ways during the early 2000’s when he could have come back to WWE. It didn’t happen for Jeff Jarrett when WWE bought WCW, but it looks like you can’t keep Double J and WWE apart in the end.

“I think from an in-ring perspective, I was just hitting my prime years in the early 2000’s. I would have loved to work with the guys in WWE during that time period, but it wasn’t meant to be. I took my career in another direction and I’m glad I did so, but the Hall Of Fame is another opportunity for things to come full circle.”

Jeff Jarrett has experienced a lot in his travels through the world of pro wrestling and it’s great to see he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. But now that he’s in the WWE Hall Of Fame it could always open up doors for other other people who might have been previously thought to be out of the running to possibly get a chance at an induction sometime down the line as well.

But as Jeff said, some things are just meant to be and that includes a Hall Of Fame induction for Double J. Congratulations, Jeff.
