Cornette Side of the Ring, the Jim Cornette series that has been running on YouTube since late September, will premiere on Vice TV on Tuesday, November 10.
Vice announced the premiere in a press release on October 28, describing the show this way:
“Legendary wrestling manager and historian Jim Cornette pulls back the curtain on outrageous, infamous, and unforgettable moments in pro wrestling, offering his unfiltered perspective and opinions in a companion series to Dark Side of the Ring.”
The series has been posted on YouTube as a co-release from VICE Sports and Dark Side of the Ring. As of this writing, the first four episodes have drawn the following views:
- “When WWE Tried Necr*philia,” on the 2002 Katie Vick storyline with Kane and Triple H: 1.3 million views, posted about a month ago
- “How Vince Russo Desecrated the WCW Championship,” on Cornette’s longtime rival: 1.3 million views in three weeks
- “When Hulk Hogan Choked Out Richard Belzer on Live TV”: 1.4 million views in two weeks
- “When A Pizza Hut Manager Almost Destroyed WCW,” on former Pizza Hut executive Jim Herd’s run in charge of WCW: 795,000 views in 11 days
That is about 4.8 million views across four episodes, each running just over 11 minutes. A fifth episode, on why WWE turned Stone Cold Steve Austin heel, was just released.
Cornette has been one of the most frequent interview subjects on Dark Side of the Ring since its first season in 2019, and appeared in the seventh season this summer, including the three-part Jeff Jarrett and TNA story.
Vice also announced that Spartan Bare Knuckle premieres on Friday, November 27. The series follows Spartan Bare Knuckle Fight Club, which Vice describes as the UK’s only licensed 8x8ft bare-knuckle pit fighting promotion, where fights are short and often end in knockouts, and which the club says serves as a lifeline for its members in difficult times. Vice first released Spartan Bare Knuckle as a three-part documentary on YouTube in March 2025.
Cornette Side of the Ring premieres Tuesday, November 10 on Vice TV.
