Despite the fact that he is not featured on the advertisements for the pay-per-view, John Cena has indeed declared himself as an entrant for the men’s Royal Rumble match. Cena made the announcement on Twitter before this week’s Monday Night Raw.
We noted last week that WWE has a major match planned for Cena at WrestleMania. It’s somewhat of a spoiler so we won’t ruin it for you but click here if you want to read more.
The 2018 Royal Rumble will take place on Sunday, January 28 and will air live at 7 pm eastern on the WWE Network. The show, considered to be one of WWE’s big tentpole shows, will run approximately 4 hours and there will be a 2-hour Kickoff show at 5 pm eastern. NXT Takeover: Philadelphia will air live on the WWE Network on the night before the Rumble PPV.
A sunny morning on the first day of 2018. Possibilities are endless, opportunities are plentiful. Time to #EarnTheDay because on January 28th, I’m entering the #RoyalRumble match and earning a chance at history @WrestleMania! #Raw
