Jon Jones may be on a collision course with Brock Lesnar at a future UFC pay-per-view but he might get to see him up close much sooner than that. The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was asked about the possibility of appearing at SummerSlam in Brooklyn, NY. His response? “It’s crossed my mind.”
UFC and WWE fans were buzzing after Jones called out Lesnar after defeating Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. Jones said, “Brock Lesnar if you want to know what it feels like to get your ass kicked by a guy who weighs 40 pounds less than you, meet me in the Octagon.”
Lesnar did not waste time and issued a response via the Associated Press: “Be careful what you wish for, young man.”
Lesnar, who has not fought since defeating Mark Hunt at UFC 200, will likely not be ready to fight until after WrestleMania because he needs to finish his suspension from his USADA drug test failure and he would need at least a couple of months of uninterrupted training. Lesnar is booked for shows after SummerSlam and he will be part of the Mania hype. His contract expires after Mania so he will be free and clear to do whatever he wants at that time.

Lesnar will defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, and Samoa Joe at SummerSlam. The big tease for that match is that Lesnar and Paul Heyman will leave WWE if Lesnar loses his title. Jones could be messing around with fans on Twitter but it would be interesting if WWE could get him face to face with Lesnar on their show.
