Kane recently spoke to the Miami HeraldĀ about several subjects including his upcoming Universal Title match against Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman. But during the interview, the hopeful future Mayor of Knox County Tennessee spoke about Dwayne Johnson’s hopes of running for President Of The United States Of America in 2014.
Let’s just say that Kane doesn’t think The Rock should trade in his career in Hollywood for Washington, DC.
“I think he would be insane to run for President. I’m going to leave that there. He’s doing pretty well in movies, and if I were him, I don’t think I would do that. And I would absolutely turn down that nomination on my part. I’m pretty happy where I’m at.”
The Rock would make a good president, after all, he can talk like nobody’s business, has a level head, and seems to be intelligent enough. But there is a lot more involved with having the most powerful office in the land. The Presidential election could always turn into a popularity vote, which is a scary thought if actual politics and platforms are traded in for social media followers and one-liners. But nothing has been made official just yet so it could be something The Rock is simply toying with at this point.
But only time will tell if the White House could be occupied by a WWE Hall Of Famer followed by a former WWE Champion.
