ODB Pushes For WWE Appearance In Instagram Comments After Velvet Ropes Interview

ODB took matters into her own hands on Sunday after telling SoCal Val on The Velvet Ropes that she wants to appear in WWE.

The Knockouts legend personally jumped into the comments of a clip from the interview to publicly pitch the move to WWE leadership and engage with fans openly campaigning for her return to a major TV stage. Scroll down to watch the clip.

ODB’s Direct Pitch To WWE

ODB tagged WWE leadership and TNA in her response to the clip from her conversation with SoCal Val.

“Wanna drive my Foodtruck right into @wwe let’s do this @stephaniemcmahon @triplehh @tkogrp @tnawrestling.”

The food truck reference is a real-world callback. ODB owns and operates ODB’s Meat & Greet, a barbecue food truck she launched in 2017 at Daytona Bike Week with her husband Alan Leaf. The original truck burned down in 2019 and was rebuilt with help from the wrestling community. The business is now based in Minnesota and serves smoked pork and signature whiskey-based sauces.

Fans Pitch Specific Spots, ODB Plays Along

Multiple fans in the comments threw out specific WWE pitches for ODB. She replied to several of them with one-word answers signaling she’s open to any of them.

One fan, @jo_jooooo_, wrote: “ODB has knockouts champion &&&&& BAM surprise entrant in the royal rumble.”

ODB replied: “BAM.”

Another fan, @the_jamesthorn, wrote: “Women’s Royal Rumble…”

ODB replied: “BAM.”

A fan account called @akirafanforever posted: “Yes!!! I would love to see ODB in WWE!!! I am hoping it can happen!!! The WWE could definitely benefit from an appearance by The ODB!”

ODB replied: “Hell yeah.”

A fan named @mizfit1989 commented: “Would love seeing ODB in the rumble or even in NXT would be awesome to see.”

ODB replied: “Hell yeah.”

ODB Clears Up A Common Mistake About Her Resume

A user named @itsmeshanethebest responded to ODB’s pitch by pointing out: “@theodbbam you did appear in @aew.”

ODB clarified the record.

“Only had a contract with TNA.”

ODB has appeared on AEW television once as a surprise entrant in the Casino Battle Royal at All Out 2019 in Chicago, where she eliminated Teal Piper before being eliminated by Britt Baker. The appearance was a one-off and did not represent a signed contractual relationship. She has only ever held a wrestling contract with TNA, where she is a four-time Knockouts Champion and a former Knockouts Tag Team Champion.

When another user posted a photo asking if it was her, ODB replied: “Wrong ODB.”

Fans Demand Specific Booking

The comments from the post made it clear there is appetite for ODB on a major WWE stage. Comments included:

@m_danc3: “Hey @tripleh @tkogrp @therock @shawnmichaels we NEED @theodbbam before the year is up like omg always wanted her in the WWE.”

@jwspin: “Summerslam in the twin cities… hmmmm @theodbbam.”

@somewrestlingpage: “@theodbbam and @nikkita_wwe segment on NXT would feed families!!”

@six_6_6e: “I wanted this since 2003 when she was poison plz make this happen.”
