ECW legend Dawn Marie shared her thoughts on the wrestling business and named her favorite WrestleMania moment of all time during a brief interview with SoCal Val at WrestleCon over WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Speaking with Wrestling News Co at WrestleCon, Dawn Marie offered some advice for anyone in the wrestling business and made clear what she still considers the gold standard of WrestleMania moments.
Dawn Marie’s Advice For Wrestlers
Asked how WrestleCon weekend was going, Dawn Marie shared the philosophy she now carries with her in the business.
“I always have fun. You know, if you don’t have fun, go home. My best advice I give everyone that’s in wrestling, when it stops being fun, that’s when it’s time to quit.”
Dawn Marie said the challenges and frustrations of the business are inevitable, but they should never overshadow the enjoyment of the work.
“There’s always gonna be your challenges, and it’s gonna be like you’re gonna get angry and you’re gonna get mad and you’re gonna feel disappointed, but they should always be fun. And when it’s not, it’s just time to say goodbye.”
Her Favorite WrestleMania Moment
When asked for her favorite WrestleMania moment, match, year, or location, Dawn Marie went straight to the most iconic moment in the event’s history.
“I’m old school. Nothing better than Hogan and Andre. How do you top it? You can’t. But other than that, they’re all fun.”
Hulk Hogan slammed Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III in 1987. The moment is widely cited as the most iconic in WrestleMania history and was named the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 Immortal Moment.
