There’s been a lot of speculation on social media about the status of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay since it’s been a while since they’ve been featured on television. Royce and Kay are both training and they are not injured. That was first reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Dave Meltzer reported that creative doesn’t have a story for them right now to push on television. Royce and Kay were not featured on this week’s NXT TV tapings. In fact, they were in Florida last weekend and were not flown in for Royal Rumble weekend.
It’s interesting to note that Royce and Kay haven’t appeared on any NXT live events, according to cagematch.net, since late November so there seems to be something else going on besides creative not having anything for them.
Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens has been hinting that they’ve been out because they had some work done. If that is the case then it could be a combination of creative not having anything for them right now and the timing being right to get surgery.
Whatever is going on, we hope to see them on TV soon because they are one of the best acts in NXT. Hopefully, they will get the call to move up to the main roster soon.
