Remember when we wrote in late December about Rusev being the hottest merchandise seller in WWE? Well, Rusev Mania is still running wild because he is still among the top merchandise sellers in WWE, despite the fact that he is not pushed as a top tier star.
Fightful’com’s Sean Ross Sapp noted on Twitter that WWE ordered 5,000 more “Rusev Day” calendars after the initial order of 2,500 sold quicker than expected.
I should add that Rusev merchandise continues to sell well at the live events and the “Happy Rusev Day” t-shirt on WWEShop.com is the second best-selling item behind the “Rowdy! Ronda Rousey” t-shirt that she wore at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

I hope management realizes that they have something special with Rusev. Fans don’t want to boo him and he gets great reactions everytime he appears at live events. Rusev is not figured into any of the main matches at WrestleMania but imagine the pop he would get if he was booked to win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle royal? Just saying.
