Top WWE Superstar not likely to return anytime soon

It looks like Shane McMahon will somehow be able to work WrestleMania even though things weren’t looking good at all. But this just goes to show how much McMahons love professional wrestling because WrestleMania is their lifeblood. During the time when people were unsure McMahon could work Mania, some thought it would be interesting to bring Chris Jericho in to fill the spot.

But even though a replacement for McMahon might not be needed for a match it turns out that Chris Jericho wouldn’t have been able to make it anyway.

“[Jericho] has a concert that night [of WrestleMania],” Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “He’s got too many concerts I think,” Meltzer continued, “he’d have to cancel at least 3 concerts to do that and I don’t know if he’s gonna do that especially since a lot of them have presold tickets really well.”

Y2J’s band is really taking off in a big way so it’s extremely unlikely we’ll see an in-ring return of Jericho anytime soon as long as their tour keeps up. At this point, Fozzy is booked solid through late April and then they have May and June off. But on July 12th they’ll be starting again in Wisconsin and are booked through August.

You can never count Chirs Jericho out because he is known to go to extreme lengths in order to pull off a surprise. But with Fozzy building up steam like they are The Ayatollah Of Rock n Rolla has found an outstanding second career in music.
