Scott Dawson is out of action because of a bicep injury and the prognosis is a wait and see kind of thing at this point. The Revival still promise to be Top Guys. But, it couldn’t have happened at a worse time and Dave Meltzer recently spoke about what he knew concerning the injury on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.
“So Scott Dawson  — so this is another one it was, he tore his biceps in in Halifax Friday night,” Meltzer said. He worked Saturday and he worked Sunday with a torn biceps but got to TV and you know, they examined him and so he’s going to have a meeting later this week to determine whether or not he needs surgery.”
“I don’t know exactly how it happened, I do know that it was a total fluke — not a big bump, not anything it was just something routine in a match in Halifax and the bicep just tore. And again, you know that’s probably the accumulation of wear and tear because it wasn’t part of a big move or a wrong spot or anything.”
Meltzer then began to relay what he knew about the spot in question where Dawson was injured. He also went into how terrible the timing of this event is for the former NXT Tag Team Champions.
“It just happened in the middle of a match and I think he knew it wasn’t good right away but it’s gotta be super disappointing for both those guys because Dash Wilder’s only been back for a couple of weeks. They come into the main roster and they beat The New Day week one they were, in theory, going to get a big push, who knows?”
During their short program with The New Day, The Revival injured Kofi Kingston and that put the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions out of commission and took away dance partners for The Revival. It wasn’t long after that when Dash Wilder broke his jaw and had to endure living in a face cage. Now that The Revival is back and finally primed for a real push this happens. Scott Dawson has been injured before, but it never had this kind of price.
It just goes to show sometimes bad things happen to Top Guys.
