As noted earlier this week, Paul Heyman was the name rumored to be inducting Goldberg into the WWE Hall Of Fame. It would be Heyman’s first time inducting someone so it should be a fun and interesting speech. WWE confirmed the news on Sunday.
Heyman’s name had been on WWE’s internal list since at least January. If you are wondering why Heyman would do the honors for Goldberg, it’s likely because Heyman, Brock Lesnar, and Bill Goldberg have been real-life friends for years.
Goldberg will be inducted alongside The Dudley Boys. The Dudleyz will be inducted by Edge and Christian. Former WWE Women’s Champion Ivory will be inducted by Molly Holly. Other names being inducted include former WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Jarrett, Hillbilly Jim, former World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, celebrity inductee Kid Rock and Warrior Award recipient Jarrius “JJ” Robertson.
This year’s WWE Hall OF Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, April 6 and will air live on the WWE Network.
