The WWE Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, and Kane was in the semi-main event slot at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. The main event slot was given to the women’s Royal Rumble match.
There’s no DQ in a Triple Threat Match so that allowed them to bring in weapons like tables and chairs into the match. At one point, Lesnar hit an F5 on Strowman through one of the announcer’s tables. Lesnar flipped the second announce table on top of Strowman. Lesnar then hit an F5 on Kane through the third announce table. Lesnar retained after hitting the F5 on Kane in the ring. Strowman was knocked out at ringside when Kane was pinned.
