For those of you wondering about Chris Jericho’s status with WWE, don’t expect to see him back full-time anytime soon.
On his podcast, he said that his appearance on the 7/25 episode of Smackdown Live was a last-minute deal because he was actually there just to film content for Southpaw Regional Wrestling.
Once he got to the arena, he was talked into making a surprise appearance and then wrestling in the main event against Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. It was a smart way to get the belt off of Owens without hurting him since he is facing Styles at SummerSlam.
His band, Fozzy, starts touring again on 9/26 through 11/18 so it’s likely that we won’t see him again until the end of the year or, perhaps, by the Royal Rumble.
