You never want to hear that a WWE Superstar is injured. It not only hampers the story line but also takes money away from them that they need to survive. But things are amplified when that person holds a championship and that looks like what is happening to Jason Jordan right now.
Although his injury is still unknown, Jordan was pulled from Raw last week and didn’t get in on any of the action. He even went as far as to tell his papa Kurt Angle he didn’t want a tag match because as he put it, “Seth needs some singles competition” before booking Rollins against Finn Balor. But in reality, JJ was injured and not cleared to compete that night.
Now PW Insider reports Jason Jordan will also be pulled from the WWE house show events this weekend as well lending a lot more weight to the idea that whatever’s wrong with him could be bigger than first thought.
Kevin Owens is also suffering from nagging injuries on the Blue Brand and he’s missing some shows too as the Royal Rumble approaches with him in a very prominent match. WWE could very well be biding their time with some of these injuries so they don’t have to nix some key Royal Rumble components.
But with the Royal Rumble coming up fast, let’s hope Jason Jordan can get better or WWE might have to figure something else out. After all, the SmackDown Live side of things features a two-out-of-three falls match with The Usos vs Shelton Benjamin and Jason Jordan so those guys could always just soak up the time allotted for the Raw Tag Team Championships. But is would still be a shame for Rollins and The Bar to miss out on a Royal Rumble match due to Jordan’s injury.
