NXT star returns from injury, possible new NXT stable debuts

Zeda has been out of action since October due to an elbow injury, but it looks like she’s been cleared for an in-ring return as she wrestled Shayna Baszler at Friday’s Jacksonville NXT House Show.

The Mae Young Classic standout lost to Baszler in the same fashion on Friday as when she was eliminated from the MYC by submitting to the Kirifuda Clutch, but it’s still great to have her back in the ring.

There was a little skirmish after their match where Baszler acted like she was going to latch on the Kirifuda Clutch once again, but NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon ran out for the save. She might be fed to Shayna Baszler for now, but given the time to learn in the WWE Performance Center, who knows how far her background in boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, kickboxing, grappling, and judo could get her.

We had previously reported how Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake formed a new tag team in NXT called the Forgotten Sons. Well, it looks like there might be more added to their ranks.

At the NXT Cocoa Beach show, it appeared that Lacey Evans and Chad Lail, (formally known as Gunner in Impact Wrestling) have joined forces with Murphy and Cutler. This might develop into an interesting faction so we’ll have to see how this develops. But it certainly looks like they’re trying things out at house shows so this could be a sign that a union between the four will be made official sometime soon.
