How The Card Came Together
The Clockwork Carnage field was finished on Wednesday’s three-hour Dynamite/Collision in Cleveland. Joe and Bailey qualified at Grand Slam France in Paris, and Copeland, Takeshita, Ricochet, Okada and Allin won qualifiers in Cleveland, with Okada and Allin also retaining their titles. The rules are in our Clockwork Carnage explainer.
On the same show, Copeland said 2027 will be his last year in wrestling and that this is why he has to win the AEW World Championship. Don Callis interrupted, and Lance Archer, Fletcher and Knight attacked Copeland before Takeshita made the save.
Thekla earned her title shot by beating Willow Nightingale in a number one contender’s match at All Out, then attacked Moné in Paris. In Cleveland, Thekla pinned Lena Kross when she, Hart and Blue beat Moné and Divine Dominion.
Davis pinned Moxley in Cleveland when the Don Callis Family beat the Death Riders in a six-man tag. In the same show, Joe and Ciampa beat Ospreay and Andrade when Joe made Andrade pass out to the Coquina Clutch after Ciampa hit Andrade with a DDT onto the National Championship belt.
The trios match was made after Page and Strickland got into a shoving match and had to be separated when Bandido pinned Kofi at Grand Slam France.

Luna pinned Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. in Cleveland when she and Hyan beat Persephone and Baker, and the TBS Championship four-way was added afterward. Jericho beat Wayne last month and Wayne won the rematch at Grand Slam France, making Saturday’s match their third.
