MLW taped two episodes of Fusion on Saturday, March 14 at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia, with Alex Hammerstone believed to have suffered a knee injury during the second taping. According to PWInsider.com, Hammerstone is believed to have injured his knee while throwing a pump kick at Matt Riddle. The decision was made to go to the finish early, though Hammerstone was reportedly pushing to continue the match longer. He was said to be in pain backstage but able to walk.

Hammerstone had started the evening at the commentary desk before transitioning to an in-ring role. During the first taping, Riddle defeated Trevor Lee via rollup after pulling the referee in front of him when Lee attempted the Cave-In. After the match, Riddle confronted Hammerstone at the commentary desk and hit him with a spinning back fist, setting up their eventual match during the second taping. Hammerstone defeated Riddle via rollup in what may have been a shortened match due to the injury. Riddle cut a promo afterward calling out Karrion Kross, which led to several members of the roster coming out and brawling.

Trevor Lee won a Bunkhouse Stampede to become the inaugural MLW Southern Crown Champion. Other participants in the match included Andrew Everett, Ikuro Kwon, The Beast Man, Diego Hill, Jesus Rodriguez, Paul Hauser, Festus, Josh Bishop, and Matthew Justice.

Also during the tapings, Austin Aries retained the MLW National Openweight Championship against Diego Hill. With the referee down, Aries struck Hill with the title belt and followed with a brainbuster onto the belt. After releasing his Last Chancery submission hold, Aries hit a second brainbuster and picked up the pin. Aries called out Mistico after the match.

Shotzi retained the MLW Women’s Featherweight Championship against Kira, winning with a top-rope senton. Shotzi and Mistico took a photo together after the match.

Karl Anderson defeated Donovan Dijak via rollup after reversing Feast Your Eyes. John Bishop ran in after the match and joined Dijak in an attack on Anderson. Dijak and Bishop then cut a promo introducing Bishop as the newest member of the Skyscrapers and one half of the MLW Tag Team Champions. Dijak’s previous Skyscraper teammate, Bishop Dyer, did not appear at the taping.

Additional results from the tapings included Titรกn defeating Magnus, LeBron Kozone defeating both Alan Angels and Okumura with a lariat in separate matches, Zamaya defeating Priscilla Kelly with a sit-out chokebomb, and Paul Hauser defeating Bryce Cannon with a Texas Cloverleaf. Teddy Long also appeared to introduce LeBron Kozone. The Good Brothers closed the second taping with a promo in support of MLW, leading the crowd in an MLW chant.
