Kevin Nash Jokes About Working WWE Creative Over Zoom, Says ‘I Don’t Want To Work’

Kevin Nash joked about joining WWE's creative team over Zoom, but said he would "irritate" Paul "Triple H" Levesque and doesn't want to work at 67.

Kevin Nash says he isn’t the man for WWE’s creative team, explaining that he would “irritate” Paul “Triple H” Levesque and doesn’t want to work.

Nash discussed it on Monday’s episode of his Kliq This podcast with co-host Sean Oliver. Oliver brought up the report that Shawn Michaels is expected to take over Bruce Prichard’s role and asked who was missing from WWE’s team.

“Looks like I’m going to have to get on the team. Get on Orlando,” Nash joked.

When Oliver asked what kind of job Nash could do from home, Nash said, “If it was Zoom, I get four hours Zoom every day. All I’d be doing is turning off the financials and talking wrestling.”

Nash said he would first have to learn the roster in person.

“The first thing I would have to do is I would have to completely immerse myself in the product,” Nash said. “I’d have to be down there. I mean, I’d have to go down. I’d have to sit down, talk to people. You can’t book people that you don’t have a feel for.”

Oliver said he meant main roster creative, not NXT or the Performance Center, and that it couldn’t be done over Zoom. Nash agreed that you need to be at the events, then explained why he wouldn’t fit.

“I’m kind of a jack off. I like to laugh, and I think I would irritate Paul,” Nash said. “I just like to laugh too much, so I still think they have time for my shenanigans.”

When Oliver kept joking about the open spot, Nash said, “Yeah, I don’t want to work.”

“67 years old,” Nash added. “I’m the oldest. Paul’s 10 years younger than me. That’s a huge difference.”

Nash turned 67 in July, and Levesque is 57.

Nash has worked on the creative side before. He took over WCW’s booking in 1998 after offering to help Eric Bischoff, and he has said since, “I said, ‘I’ll help.’ I should have said, ‘Let’s go to a strip club.'”

Shawn Michaels expected to take Bruce Prichard’s role

PWInsider reported last week that Michaels, WWE’s head of NXT and Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative, is expected to essentially step into Prichard’s role as Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent. Prichard is expected to retire after WrestleMania 43 and stay on in a consulting role.

Nash said he had no inside information on the move. “Well, I know nothing,” he said, before adding, “It would only make sense for Shawn to take the spot,” pointing to Michaels’ time running NXT creative.
