Armando Alejandro Montalvo, the man who was shot outside of the WWE Performance Center in 2015, returned on Wednesday evening and caused a scene outside of Full Sail University just prior to the NXT TV tapings. According to fans waiting outside, Montalvo was loud and ranting about Vince McMahon having to shoot him in order to stop him. He took off in a car before security could get to him.
WWE is aware who Montalvo is because, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, he was showing up continuously for a month or so at the Performance Center in 2015 and he had been “fixated” on a female WWE performer. He was arrested outside of the PC on 8/24/15 but then returned on 8/31/15. WWE called the police and then, according to the police report, Montalvo charged at one of the detectives on the scene and that is when he was shot. Montalvo was able to survive “life threatening” injuries. Prior to the shooting, there were reports of Montalvo spreading feces and urine on the PC building and he threatened to “kick everyone’s ass” because WWE would not hire him. Around that time period, he also showed up at least once outside of WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT.
In 2017, Montalvo was deemed to be incompetent to proceed in his aggravated-assault trial but he was committed to a state hospital and, at last word, was scheduled for a court hearing in late January. No word on how the hearing went but it’s clear that something more needs to be done before something bad happens.
